An unmodified Zipit Wireless Messenger can now be made to run useful graphical applications like a web browser; it can also perform many useful functions like X10 automation control, 802.11b/g wireless network monitoring, multimedia stream playback (Internet Radio) and voice message retrieval. Pictured here is a zipit running 'monqueror', a port of 'konqueror', the well-known web browser from KDE; the windowing system is our port of 'MiniGUI' which is a small-footprint but very full featured GUI framework.
